Program: Master of Technology
Program Code: MMEE
Level: Post Graduate
Duration: 2 Years (4 Semester)
Program Overview:
M. Tech Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Production & Industrial Engineering is a two-year post-graduate programme that provide students with a comprehensive knowledge of various disciplines including engineering sciences, manufacturing technology, management science, and optimization of complex processes, systems, or organizations. The programme trains students to devise efficient systems that integrate machines, workers, materials, information, and energy to provide a service or make a product. The objective of the programme is to achieve higher productivity by adopting efficient planning, integrated design and operative systems in any manufacturing system. The coursework of the programme is a combination of manufacturing technology and management sciences which enables the students to solve complex problems related to industrial productivity through analysis production sales assessment and maintenance. This course is for individuals who have a good understanding of engineering fundamentals and understanding of manufacturing science. Students who are looking for embarking a career in the field of industrial production and manufacturing must opt for this programme.
Program Educational Objectives (PEO):
- A commitment to lifelong learning, quality and continuous improvement through the clear ability to assume increasing levels of technical and/or management responsibility.
- Leadership and participation in teams that act as change agents and innovators in product design and manufacturing related organizations.
- The ability to drive the design of products, design effective and efficient new production processes and improve the performance of existing operations.
- To develop the effective technical communication.
