The Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) programme is a three year programme of study spread over six Semesters and comprising 25 courses and a Project. The courses carry a credit of four and the Project carries a credit of ten. One credit would normally involve sixteen hours of lectures or equivalent, per semester. To become eligible for the award of the degree students need to earn a total of one hundred and ten credits.
Students enrolled in the programme undergo the first year of their studies jointly with students enrolled for the Bachelor of Commerce programme. They pursue various foundation courses in the areas of mathematics, statistics, economics, business history and the humanities.
The second year of the programme is designed to equip students with a basic understanding of the functional areas of management, Organisational Behaviour, business-society relationship,
In the final year of study, students are offered the option of specialising in marketing, Finance or Human Resources Management.
Students graduating with a BBA can hope to get employed in junior executive positions of a non-technical nature and would be assisting middle and senior managers. The areas of potential employment include back office operations, call centre operations, customer relations, sales, accounts and finance, pay roll management, time office management, market analysis, and HR analysis
