GLOCAL COLLEGE OF NURSING & RESEARCH CENTRE CELEBRATED WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
On 5th June 2023, Glocal College of Nursing & Research Centre, Saharanpur celebrated World Environment Day under the visionary guidance of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the Glocal University Prof. (Dr.) P. K. Bharti. The Theme of the World Environment Day- 2023 was “Beat Plastic Pollution”. The event was aimed at increasing awareness about hazards of plastic pollution and planting and maintaining trees for a healthy environment.
The event began in the morning, with poster making competition, pot decoration and tree plantation drive as a part of celebration. The competition aimed to engage and encourage students to express their ideas and creativity in advocating for a greener and healthier planet. The activities not only showcased the artistic talents of the participants but also emphasized the importance of repurposing materials and reducing the waste.
The beautifully decorated pots were displayed in the department and then tree plantation was done in the presence of Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar Sharma, Principal – Glocal College of Nursing and Research Centre Dr. Roshan Lal Kahar, H.O.D Mr. Himanshu Massey, faculties and students from Nursing College. The event was a resounding success with a strong focus on sustainable restoration the events contributed to raising awareness, promoting sustainable practices and fostering a sense of responsibility towards the environment.
Whole programme was organized in the presence of the Registrar Prof. (Dr.) R. D. Dwiwedi, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar Sharma, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Kumar Mishra, Campus Director Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Pandey, Dean Academics Prof. (Dr.) Pramod Kumar, Principal of Glocal College of Nursing & Research Centre Prof. (Dr.) Roshan Lal Kahar and the event coordinator Ms. Aradhna.
