Oxyphenbutazone promotes cytotoxicity in rats and Hep3B cellsvia suppression of PGE2 and deactivation of Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway

Co-administration of low dose of Oxyphenbutazone potentiates the anticancer activity of low dose

 of Methotrexate in Hep3B in vitro cancer cells. Low dose of Methotrexate acts synergistically with Oxyphenbutazone to inhibit the propagation of cancer cell in DENA induced liver cancer in Wistar rats by restoring the levels of serum marker enzymes and suppressing the free radical scavengers. At last, it may be asserted that low dose combination of Methotrexate and Oxyphenbutazone may prove to be a treatment of liver cancer with reduced toxicity and better therapeutic option.
