Law School organised a multi-disciplinary online conference

Covid 19 pandemic has raised several challenges on the global level. The conference invited works on the issues pertaining to different facets of the pandemic. The conference offers multi-disciplinary dialogues to discuss the outbreak and its ramifications in different areas. The themes and sub-themes of the conference not only address issues gripping in India at the moment but also give a comprehensive understanding of the global issues surrounding the Pandemic. The themes are relevant to a broad spectrum of academic learning, giving enough intellectual space to share ideas from diverse fields.

This conference witnessed the presence of honourable Vice Chancellor, Dr. Satish Sharma, our Chief Guest Justice Shri M.N. Rao, Guest of Honor Justice Shri T.N.C. Rangarajan Advocate Ajit Joy. The event was hosted by Dr. Sandesha Rayapa Centre for Development Policy and Practice (CDPP Team). This conference was successfully carried out with the participation of the wonderful team consisting of Conveners, Advisory Committee, Organizing Committee, Coordination Committee and Technical Committee.

The conference was held in two technical sessions and started with the address of The Vice Chancellor, followed by Justice Shri MN Rao and Advocate Ajit Joy’s remarkable thoughts. It was proceeded with the paper presentation of the dignified speakers: Dr. Sonia Mukherjee (Assistant Professor, Christ University, NCR, Ghaziabad), Khyati Singh (Research student , School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi), Rajendra Prasad Misra (PhD Scholar, Department of Sociology, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi), Mahfooz Alam and Naiyla Mobin Abbasi (Research Scholar, Department Of Political Science, Aligarh Muslim University and Research Scholar, Department Of Law, Aligarh Muslim University). Their hardwork and research made this whole event more interesting and informative. This session was made more interactive and the queries of the attendees were cleared by the concerned speaker.

After the paper presentation of the speakers the first session came to an end which marked the start of the technical session 2. The ramifications of the Pandemic are enormous, and academia is responding to the situation in its own capacity.The Glocal School of Law are taking these small steps to contribute in spreading the awareness about Covid 19, its impact on human society and global consequences that we all are facing together.
