BHARTIYA BHASHA UTSAV 2023 CELEBRATED AT GLOCAL UNIVERSITY
On December 12, 2023 Bhartiya Bhasha Utsav was celebrated at the auditorium of Glocal University in Saharanpur. During the event, Professor Dr. P.K. Bharti, Vice-Chancellor of Glocal University, highlighted that in alignment with the new education policy and the theme ‘Many Languages, One Emotion,’ the university organized a 75-day ‘Indian Language Festival’ from September 28, 2023 to December 11, 2023.
The program commenced with the inauguration by Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. S.K. Sharma, Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. P.K. Mishra, Dr. Reshma Tahir, and Dr. Varsha Deva.
The cultural program included participants presenting folk dances and songs in local languages representing various Indian states. The dance competition was judged by Dr. Neha, Dr. Shobha, Ms. Meeta, Mr. Himanshu and Mr. Gautam which resulted in Neha securing the first position, Ishita the second, and Deepika and Bhoomika receiving the third prize.
The regional attire competition judged by Dr. Varsha, Dr. Mohd Wazid Khan, Ms. Tanzeela, Ms. Rashda which then resulted into Aarna winning the first prize, Shahbaz the second, and Akif and Sweta Yadav were awarded with the third prize.
At last the program concluded with the Award distribution ceremony and National Anthem.
