Social Work during Covid-19 Pandemic
In this emergency of Covid-19 pandemic, keeping in view the national interest and humanity, the Glocal family has played its partner role with full dexterity and seriousness. In such critical times, many philanthropic works have been done by the Glocal family to deal with this pandemic and are still being done continuously, such as:
Fund of Rs. 10,00,000 / - (Rupees Ten Lakhs Only) in the Prime Minister Covid Care Fund and Rs. 10,00,000 / - (Rupees Ten Lakhs Only) in the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Covid Care Fund have been donated by the Glocal University to help combat the Pandemic.
From time to time, thermal scanning of doctors, staff, students of Glocal and nearby residents has also been done by Glocal Medical College, Super Specialty Hospital and Research Center to prevent the pandemic from spreading. Glocal School of Pharmacy, Glocal University has distributed free of cost face-masks to the Glocal staff, students and nearby village residents.
The immunity booster syrup made by the Ayurvedic method by the Glocal College of Ayurvedic Medical Sciences and Research Centre has been distributed free of cost to the Glocal staff, students and nearby village residents.
Glocal University administration is continuously distributing dry grocery items and cooked food to the poor residents of the nearby villages. At the same time, according to the order of the Government, we have also done geotagging of our kitchen under "RAHAT App, Uttar Pradesh".
According to the order of the Ministry of AYUSH, Covid-19 training has also been conducted for the Ayurvedic and Unani students, to train them in the basics of Covid-19, Psychological care of Covid-19 patients, ICU Care and Ventilation Management, Personal Protection Equipment, Covid-19 Training in subjects like respiratory therapy etc. so that these students can cooperate in dealing with this pandemic when needed.
Apart from this, sanitizers and masks have been distributed free of cost to nearby villages on the occasion of “Hand Pharmacy Day” by the Glocal School of Pharmacy.
It is also to inform that the Saharanpur District Administration, Uttar Pradesh, after the inspection of the Glocal Medical College, Super Specialty Hospital and Research Center, for the facilities available in the hospital, was fully satisfied with the facilities and the hospital had been appointed as Covid-19 Hospital of L1 category on 17.04.2020. More than 1300 Covid 19 patients have been admitted here. All these patients after availing the medical benefits have gone back happily and with good health to their respective places. No casualty has occurred.
Besides, after the establishment of the Glocal Medical College, Super Specialty Hospital and Research Center as a Covid Hospital of the L-1 category, the hospital was inspected by the representative of the World Health Organization (WHO), In which he found the hospital to be equipped with all types of modern medical facilities and he was completely satisfied with the medical facilities of the hospital.
