Program Outcomes

  • A student upon successfully qualifying in the general nursing and midwifery in nursing should be able to provide safe, competent care to individuals, families and communities. 
  • Provide compassionate, ethical care to individuals of diverse cultures, values, beliefs and lifestyle. 
  • Use evolving information technology to monitor and improve the health care of clients.
  • Use intra and inter professional communication and collaboration to promote care coordination for safe quality patient care. 
  • Apply levels of prevention to promote wellbeing and prevent disease in complex situations for individuals or groups. 
  • Practice caring, competent, holistic, high quality, patient centred nursing in complex situations.

Program specific Outcome

  • Demonstrate competency in providing health care to individuals sick or well using the nursing process.  Provide effective nursing care for maintaining quality care. 
  •  Promote self-care in people under their care. 
  •  Apply problem solving techniques in nursing practice. 
  • Demonstrate interest in activities of professional organization, 
  •  Demonstrate basic skills in teaching patients and giving nursing care to them. 
  •  Demonstrate basic skills in administration and leadership while working with other members of the health team and community. 
  • Assist in research activities. 
  •  Provide the best possible care and be able to work independently with little supervision. 
  • Participate in all the national health and family welfare programs. 
  •  Manage the health care unit including equipment and supplies and maintain the records in order to provide quality basis people friendly services.

Course Outcome

  • At the end of the course the student should be prepared both professionally and personally to manage all the challenges as a healthcare professional and to become a professional nurse committed to nursing practice, leadership and service.
