The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the academic year (2013-2014) to meet the demand for well-qualified Civil Engineers. Department has well-qualified and vibrant faculty dedicated to the betterment of the students. The Civil Engineering Department at Glocal University is earnestly working to develop solutions to major sustainability challenges of the country and is committed to producing leaders impacting the society at large. The Department of Civil Engineering is a full-fledged academic department for emerging Civil Engineers. The Department provides outstanding teaching and research environment. The syllabus is designed in accordance with the latest industrial demand and syllabus of competitive exams like GATE, ESE, and State Engineering Services so that students can qualify for the competitive exams without taking the help of any coaching institute. The program focuses on theoretical Civil Engineering approaches as well as laboratory and field experience. The practical component forms a substantial part of the academic program, which is essential for grooming engineers. The department is provided with well-equipped laboratories with an updated version. Department arranges visits of various construction sites to give field exposure to the students. Department also conducts a survey camp every year for giving practical knowledge to the students in the field of surveying. Most of the passed-out students of our department are well placed or have opted for higher studies in India’s highly reputed institutions like NITs, IITs, and other central universities/Institutes.
